THE DIELINE

From the moment Loft & Bear was an idea not yet fully realized, we knew that being involved with the community and contributing to making a change had to be a part of the brand’s foundation. In our search to find a way to truly make a difference, PATH made complete sense. We wanted to make sure we are giving more than just a financial donation and have supported move-in days and have led fundraising events with key accounts.

PATH’s mission is to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities. PATH prioritizes housing while providing customized supportive services for people in need. Their agencies each address homelessness in different ways: supportive services, permanent housing development, support for homeless families, and community engagement— all of which ultimately help the people they serve make it home.

We are coming up on year 9 of our partnership with PATH and could not be more proud.

Last year we expanded our community support and have teamed up with Homeboy Industries, volunteering one day out of the month and will support quarterly career exploration field trips to the distillery in 2023 for their trainees. We also will use Homeboy’s silk-screening business to make our tasting room branded gear, donating half of the profit back to them.

Homeboy Industries began in 1988 as a way of improving the lives of former gang members in East Los Angeles. Today they have evolved into the largest gang intervention, rehab, and re-entry program in the world. Homeboy provides hope, training, and support to formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated people, allowing them to redirect their lives and become contributing members of our community. Each year over 10,000 former gang members from across Los Angeles come through Homeboy Industries’ doors in an effort to make a positive change. They are welcomed into a community of mutual kinship, love, and a wide variety of services ranging from tattoo removal to anger management and parenting classes.
